H.O.M.E. DuPage

I have a passion for homes and I believe everyone deserves a home, be it an apartment or townhome or condo or a house. For that reason, I am a Board member of H.O.M.E. DuPage, a not for profit organization which provides financial counseling and home buying preparation and assistance for DuPage County Residents. And the services which H.O.M.E. DuPage provides are free. If you or someone you know needs advise as to how to organize personal finances to qualify for an apartment lease or a home purchase, H.O.M.E. DuPage has financial fitness counselors who can provide financial coaching to make a home a reality. In 2017, H.O.M.E.'s financial literacy coaches taught 507 people how to manage their personal finances. Additionally, for those DuPage County residents who are purchasing a home and who qualify, there is down payment assistance of $14,999.00 available. H.O.M.E. prepared 466 people in 2017 to buy their first home. Finally, for those individuals who need help preserving their homes because of foreclosure, H.O.M.E. DuPage has a counselor outside the DuPage County Foreclosure courtroom to assist families in crisis. In 2017, 301 DuPage County families in financial crisis were assisted by H.O.M.E. DuPage.
